Based on Zeix‘ user research Dr. Sibylle Peuker will discuss in this talk with the audience how people build trust and what that means for Medtech AI applications. In fact, the user often does not know if the system works with artificial intelligence or if it just retrieves the result from a database. But this usually does not matter to the users. What matters is that they can assess the trustworthiness of the system.
Illustrated with examples from symptom checkers and virtual assistants to geriatric care, she will show what people need to build trust and what you can do help your users to build trust in your system. We will discuss tools and practices that help you to reason about the implications of your AI system and to make ethical decisions while you are building the system.
